December 7, 2011 in Communication, Community, Work

Hello Parents!

Orientation 2011 staff at the banana split!

There is a lot going on here at Tech as finals week fast approaches for our students! One great opportunity going on across campus is for students to begin their applications for Student Life positions. Student Life positions allow students the opportunity to develop leadership skills while working in a collaborative team environment.

For the past three years, I have worked in Student Life positions. I have had positions at the reception desk, as a campus tour guide, Orientation Team Leader, and now on the Orientation Executive Staff; all of these have been amazing experiences. I have had so many great opportunities afforded to me since working in Student Life. I’ve been able to discover a lot about myself. Gaining leadership skills and continuing to become a better communicator have helped further me in both schooling and my work life. Not only do you gain a lot of valuable skills but also irreplaceable friendships. Choosing to join Student Life has been one of the best decisions I have made here at Tech!
